Michael Cubbage, CMP, DES, brings nearly two decades of comprehensive experience in the meetings industry, showcasing versatility as both a supplier and planner. With a rich portfolio, Michael has successfully orchestrated a diverse range of professional meetings and events, spanning from large-scale association annual gatherings with 5,000+ attendees to intricate street festivals, government assemblies, high-end corporate functions, and multi-day international medical forums.
Catering to a broad spectrum of clients, including associations, corporations, and government agencies, Michael has demonstrated his ability to navigate the intricacies of various sectors within the industry.
An engaged member of the Association of Meeting Professionals (AMPs) since 2008, Michael's dedication extends beyond mere participation, encompassing roles on committees and the Board of Directors. His notable achievement includes serving as the organization's Chair from 2014 to 2015. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Michael was a nominee for the 2011-2012 "AMPe Award" for Outstanding Meeting Professional of the Year and the recipient of the 2020-2021 Chairmans Award.
Michael is deeply dedicated to the industry, exemplified by his former role as Co-Chair on PCMA's National Emerging Leaders Committee. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he secured a coveted spot in the distinguished "20 in Their Twenties" class for the meetings industry in 2014.
A distinguished alumnus of George Mason University, Michael graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Tourism & Events Management, further exemplifying his pursuit of excellence in the field.
